Der Bit ODER Operator (|) dient zur bitweisen ODER Verknüpfung zweier ganzzahliger Werte.

Beispiel:

int i,j;
i = 12;    // Binäre Darstellung: 1100
j = 10;    // Binäre Darstellung: 1010
i | j;     // 1100 | 1010 = 1110
